How I can work with you

This isn't about choosing a label, but about finding the way of working that fits where you are. Sometimes that shifts over time, and that's part of the process too.

You might be moving through…

Anxiety, stress, or exhaustion · a loss or grief · a move to a new country, or life as a foreigner · a job change or redundancy · difficulties in relationships · a chronic illness or a changing body · habits, sleep, and energy that won't cooperate · a search for meaning or self-knowledge.

  • Psychotherapy

A process to understand what hurts and give it meaning, unhurried. A confidential space to face what's hard and find new ways to live with it. Jungian analytical psychology is the underlying lens and, when appropriate, I bring in tools from other schools: cognitive-behavioural work, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Gestalt, and mindfulness. What hurts or repeats is not judged: it is understood within your story, and from there what is rigid softens and possibilities open.

  • Habit change and whole-person health

Specific support for changing habits, grounded in health psychology and using Duke's Wheel of Health as the map: movement, nutrition, rest, environment, relationships, meaning. Short programmes of six to eight sessions, individual or in groups, each pairing a mindfulness practice with one concrete behaviour-change tool. No pressure, and no focus on weight.

  • Mindfulness and meditation

Practices of attention and stillness to return to the present and the body, especially on the days when the mind won't settle. Certified practitioner with the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. Keep reading →

  • Jungian approach

Jungian psychotherapy works with dreams, images, and symbols, accompanying the process of individuation: the path of becoming who you really are. Trained with the Uruguayan Society for Analytical Psychology. Keep reading →

  • Organisations, teams, and groups

Psychoeducational workshops, group spaces, and support for leaders and teams in contexts of high demand, stress, and change. Burnout prevention, emotional regulation, and wellbeing at work. Keep reading →

A particular kind of support

Migration, expatriate life, and cultural transitions

Changing countries unsettles identity, relationships, and the sense of belonging, even when the decision was your own. I lived and worked in the United States, England, and Portugal before returning to Uruguay, and my research focused on nostalgia and psychological adaptation in people who migrate. I work in Spanish, English, and Portuguese with those who arrive, those who leave, and those who live between two places.

A clear frame

Psychotherapy is a confidential process at your own pace, and it does not replace medical care or emergency psychiatric care. If at any point what you need goes beyond this space, I will tell you clearly and help you find the right resource. In an emergency, contact Uruguay's emotional support line on 0800 0767 (*0767 from a mobile) or your local emergency service.
