Psychotherapy

How I work

This isn't about choosing a label, but about finding the way of working that fits where each person is. Sometimes that shifts over time, and that's part of the process too.

For those moving through…

Anxiety, stress, or exhaustion · a loss or grief · a move to a new country, or life as a foreigner · a job change or redundancy · difficulties in relationships · a chronic illness or a changing body · habits, sleep, and energy that won't cooperate · a search for meaning or self-knowledge.

Psychotherapy

A process to understand what hurts and give it meaning, unhurried. I work from Jungian analytical psychology, bringing together what the science says and the language of symbols, myths, and dreams. Behind every habit and everything that repeats there is a story: it often began in order to protect us, and understanding it is the first step to change. When it helps, I bring in tools from other approaches and, if the person wishes, astrology as a symbolic language. What hurts is not judged: it is understood, and from there possibilities open.

Health psychology

My specialisation for supporting habit change, with a whole-person view: movement, nutrition, rest, environment, relationships, and meaning. Short programmes of six to eight sessions, individual or in groups, each pairing a practice of attention with one concrete tool for change. No pressure, and no focus on weight.

I also accompany people who live between countries, in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

A clear frame

Psychotherapy is a confidential process at each person's own pace, and it does not replace medical care or emergency psychiatric care. If at any point what someone needs goes beyond this space, I say so clearly and help find the right resource. In an emergency, contact Uruguay's emotional support line on 0800 0767 (*0767 from a mobile) or the local emergency service.
